This project deals with the
potential of everyday
pollution in connection with
design. On the Binnerotte,
the big market square in
Rotterdam, every time after
the market stalls shut down
heaps of garbage are left
behind. The wind is blowing
the rubbish high up in the
air and the cleaning
machines are chasing it up
and down the square. With a
slight changed point of view
this is choreography – part
of a grand ballet. “This is
Beautiful” is a series of
posters and stickers,
displayed in the environment
of the binnerotte market
square changing the point of
view and transforming the
narrative of the space.
