this tuesday there are various reasons to celebrate - or at least lets hope so. First it's Gilly's B'day - sure date to party, and then if we and our co- earthlings are lucky there might be a change in the white house.... lets cross the fingers and press our thumbs as we german speakers do.... So anyone in London next week - Tuesday is Election Party - Come prepared!

for poster no.1 of 6... soon I will need to type down the concept and then it will end up on here as well. So far let me just explain I am playing with "urban rhythm" and the idea that every urban feature we come cross on the streets gives our city experience a very distinctive beat or rhythm by making us stop/go move left right and so on. Becoming aware of this and actively change and input in this rhythm is the purpose of the 6 guides or posters I am designing. Their end format will be B1 unfolding form B5. Using my illustrations as main communication medium - well so far more sense and detail soon... at the moment I am too tired for that.

In my non working life I am still a student... and as that sit in lectures an crits... very welcome opportunity to sketch whatever pops up around me... colleague, tutor, plastic up..... all the same to me ;)

the presentations and crits keep coming - so do the sketches....

found this sketches I did a while ago... again keeping my mind focused with a pencil.

an update on my sketches... did those during the follow up crit of our work in progress show (went pretty good btw - a lot better than I and most people from class expected... should never underestimate the power of time pressure)... The following day sitting in a cafe working on the sketches I had some help from the coffee shop owner's kid... Decided I am not scared of kids anymore - at least when they hold a pen...

This will be the backdrop for my installation at the work in progress show. I am planning to print it at least on two A0. Pictures and more soon, the show is on tuesday (see flyer) so fingers crossed.
